Without reservation, I can say that Missy and Josh are two of the coolest people I have ever met in my life. They're both highly intelligent, good at writing (although Josh has issues with semicolons once in a while), and incredibly funny and easy-going. What captivates me the most about them is how their relationship is so understated and mature, yet how tangibly thick you can feel their love for each other. I loved hearing their stories of how they've supported each other through many difficult years and how they very obviously appreciate the other's support and don't take it for granted. There's also something deep about the way Josh holds and looks at Missy that lets you know his heart is completely hers.
We walked around Old Town Orange together, braving the intense afternoon heat, because this neighborhood means a lot to the couple. (They actually met while working at the Army Navy store.) Below are some images from the session that stood out to me the most.
Missy and Josh, thank you for letting me spend the day with you. Thank you for trusting me to do what I do and doing whatever I asked of you too! I'm more than bummed that I won't be shooting your Yosemite wedding, but I know you guys will have a good time. Best wishes!
